Dashboard

From LifeType Wiki

The dashboard is the first page that most users see when they log into LifeType. It is meant to be as some sort of summary page and give users a quick overview of the status of their blog, and includes things such as number of comments, number of articles, etc. In case users have more than one blog, the dashboard allows them to select which blog they would like to work with although this selection can be changed later on via a drop-down list in the administration interface.

Since the dashboard page is known to have caused users some confusing, there is a setting that allows to disable the concept of dashboard as the first page after logging in. The setting is called skip_dashboard and can be found in the administration interface, under Administration->General Settings->General.

Even if the dashboard has been disabled via this setting, it is always possible to get back to it once users are logged in by clicking the "dashboard" link that appears as part as the bread and crumbs navigation path near the top right corner of every page in the administration interface.

The dashboard page also allows users to register more than one blog in the system once they have already created one by providing a "Create blog" link on the top right corner of its page.
