This plugin will display a shoutbox in your blog. It allows to receive email notifications when new shouts are received, delete shouts, protect nicknames, etc.

Download and uncompress the archive in a temporary folder, and open the README.txt file contained within. Then, follow the detailed instructions, which involve moving files and making some basic editing of your templates.
